About David Lock Associates

Our business integrates town and country planning, urban design, graphic design, CAD and GIS. We set ourselves the highest possible standards in our professional work, and we value our relationships with our many and varied clients. Since the Company was established in 1989 we have grown in number (we now employ over 50 professional staff) and expertise; the experience of our consultants spans planning and urban design, and the related disciplines of architecture, development and landscape architecture. We foster a team working culture and an open minded approach to the way we tackle the challenges of our work.

Experience

Through our work with a variety of organisations and agencies, both in the UK and abroad, we have gained extensive experience, enhanced our creative talents and developed a strong skill set in managing large scale, sustainable, multi-disciplinary projects. This enables us to offer a complete range of planning and urban design services – from inception through to implementation on the ground. We can help define opportunities, prepare strategic and comprehensive masterplans, progress proposals through the planning system, and design and manage the detailed proposals for implementation.

International

Our clients and their projects are located throughout the UK, and we have considerable involvement in the growth areas established under the Government’s Sustainable Communities initiative. We have consultancy experience internationally, including the United States, Australia, France, Ireland, Kuwait and Nigeria
