Devon is rising to the challenge of meeting new housing requirements by planning for a new community to the East of Exeter. David Lock Associates have been instrumental in developing the planning strategy from the confirmation of the location of the community in the structure plan and local
plan through to the submission and successful resolution of the outline planning application.

David Lock Associates are also the master planners of the new settlement. The proposals have evolved following thorough consultation with the public
and key statutory consultees and the final master plan adopts best practice and reflects the government’s latest advice on sustainability and urban design. Strategic design guidance and design codes for the new community are now being prepared along with the phasing strategy for the implementation.
