Ravenswood, Ipswich:
New residential neighbourhood

The redevelopment of the former Ipswich Airfield is well underway based on a master plan and design guidance formulated by David Lock Associates.  The former airfield accommodates a new community called Ravenswood, comprising over 1000 homes, employment, local centre, primary school, country park extension and, within the converted terminal building, a community centre.

We worked in close collaboration with Ipswich City Council as landowners, and the Bellway team, to facilitate smooth passage of the master plan through the planning system. Outline consent was granted within three months of submission and development commenced on site in early 1999. The development is now near completion.
