David Lock Associates has submitted a planning application, on behalf of International aerospace and defence engineering group Meggitt Plc, for a multi-million-pound facility in the West Midlands. At 440,000 sq.ft, the new hub will be built at Ansty, near Coventry and provide a base for up to 1,000 employees.
The £130million project aims to combine a range of operations for the company and includes plans for an engineering and manufacturing Centre of Excellence for future aerospace thermal management technology. It’s expected the new facility will be operational by the end of 2019.
DLA project director David Keene said: “this project is a major investment and vote of confidence in the West Midlands economy and will reinforce the manufacturing cluster that is developing at Ansty.”
