Conditional planning permission has been granted for Phase 1 of Brooklands Square in Milton Keynes.

David Lock Associates, on behalf of Places for People, submitted the application in January earlier this year for a new Sainsbury’s store, associated car parking and 21 new apartments.

DLA was commissioned to provide a master plan and detailed design advice for Brooklands Square, following our original instruction to secure the site allocation, master plan and hybrid planning permission for the entire 160ha Brooklands site.

Commenting on the Reserved Matters approval from Milton Keynes Council, Robert Purton, Partner at David Lock Associates said:

“Inspired by Winslow, Olney and Stony Stratford market places, Brooklands Square is a contemporary space envisaged to be unlike any other in modern Milton Keynes.  Through establishing close working relationships between clients, co-consultants and the local authority, a scheme for this retail, cultural, medical and commercial focus which is deliverable and achievable has been created.”
