David Lock Associates (DLA) has been appointed by Taylor Wimpey South Wales as planners and master planners for a residential-led mixed-use development of up to 2,500 dwellings, employment and associated community uses on 135 hectares of land to the east of Lisvane on the edge of Cardiff.
This follows DLA’s successful promotion of the land, which was allocated as part of the North East Cardiff Strategic Site F in the Cardiff Local Development Plan (LDP), adopted in early 2016. At 4,500 homes, it is the second largest Strategic Site within the LDP and will, therefore, play a key role in the delivery of new homes, jobs, community facilities and infrastructure to support the City Council’s vision and objectives.
Duncan Chadwick, Partner leading on the project said:
“We are very happy to be starting work on the next stage of this exciting project now that the land has been assembled by our clients. It is vital to delivering the homes, jobs and infrastructure that Cardiff needs to become a world-class European capital city with an exceptional quality of life.”
