On behalf of MK-based Bastion Homes (Heritage) Limited, DLA has secured permission (subject to a s106 agreement) for eight dwellings on the site of a former joinery workshop at Yardley Road, Olney.

The scheme, designed by ‘sister’ company, DLA Architects Practice, was considered by Milton Keynes Council’s Development Control Panel to improve the character and appearance of the Olney Conservation Area and add to the supply of new homes in this sustainable location close to the heart of Olney.

Duncan Chadwick, Partner leading on the project said: “We are not only happy with the decision but also with the very positive comments received from the Council’s Conservation Officer about the quality of the scheme in this sensitive location. We certainly feel that the development will be a positive asset to the area, respecting but not replicating the Victorian character of the locality.”
