Three public consultation events on the creation of a new garden village on a former airfield in East Northamptonshire will take place this week.
David Lock Associates (DLA) is retained by Land Acquisition & Promotion (LAP) as the Planning consultant for Tresham Garden Village.
The proposal is one of 14 Garden Villages in England for which the Government announced it will provide financial and other support in January 2017. The garden village is also identified in the adopted North Northamptonshire Joint Core Strategy.
It will be located at Deenethorpe Airfield, a large site to the east of Corby, which has been used by the US Air Force and the RAF.
1,500 homes are proposed, alongside new employment opportunities, diverse community facilities, a through school, extensive public open space and substantial new woodland, including 100,000 newly planted trees.
The public are being invited to have their say on the proposals at three exhibitions being held this week in villages near the site; more information can be found here http://www.treshamvillage.uk/consultation/
