The expansion of the hugely successful Dollman Farm area at Houlton has recently been completed with the opening of a brand new Coop convenience store and nursery. These facilities have been developed to complement the ever-popular Tuning Fork café and community building, which were brought into use through the conversion of the Dollman farmhouse and barn, and now collectively provide a thriving Local Centre serving residents of Houlton and further afield.
David Lock Associates played a key part in the development of the Coop and nursery though securing the detailed planning approval and subsequent condition discharges, which allowed for their construction over an 18 month period. Although they’ve now been open for a while, yesterday was our first viewing of the new facilities as we returned to the site, and it was great to see them being used by the growing local community.
