A major milestone has been reached at Wykham Park Farm, Banbury, with the approval of the site-wide Design Code by Cherwell District Council’s Planning Committee. Wykham Park Farm is part of a sustainable mixed-use community allocated at South West Banbury within the Cherwell Local Plan and will provide some 1,000 homes, a primary school, secondary school sports land, a mixed use local centre, and play and recreation facilities.
DLA, on behalf of our client L&Q Estates as master developer, have worked closely with the Council to agree detailed design guidance for the landscaping, integrated active travel network, hierarchy of streets, leisure, play and recreation spaces, as well as character areas and detailed built form coding to ensure a distinctive and high-quality new community is created at Wykham Park Farm. DLA continue to support L&Q Estates to implement the development, through the submission of reserved matters for strategic infrastructure and landscaping.
