Working on behalf of Brickhill Homes, DLA has obtained reserved matters approval for ten dwellings in the village of Soulbury, near Leighton Buzzard and preliminary work has already started on site. This follows a successful appeal in November 2018 when outline permission was secured for the scheme from the Secretary of State.
The detailed scheme was drawn up by DLA Architects Practice and includes detached and terraced dwellings, ranging in size from three to five bedrooms, with extensive landscaping and associated open space. The site lies outside the Soulbury Conservation Area and opposite a couple of listed buildings in the village; it also sits adjacent to two detached dwellings and a stable conversion that were constructed in 2015 after full planning permission was secured by DLA for Brickhill Properties acting on behalf of a local family.
Victoria Owen, Assistant Planner who lead on the scheme said: “We are pleased to secure this approval and see the development commence after extensive negotiation with the local planning authority (Aylesbury Vale District Council) over the design, materials, landscaping, drainage and other details for this important site. The scheme is very attractive and will lead to the provision of a mix of house types and sizes in this edge-of-village location.”
