Stephen Haines, Urban Design Partner at DLA, is currently engaged in an exciting fact-finding project in Yangon, Myanmar.
Stephen is working alongside sister company Integrated Transport Planning (ITP) as part of a project on behalf of the French Development Bank (AFD – Agence Française de Développement) which provides funding and professional expertise for developing countries such as Myanmar.
The project is focused around making assessments and recommendations towards a number of key sites from urban parks, markets and redevelopment opportunities along the Yangon River corridor and includes identifying transportation, movement and public realm improvements as well as wider regeneration and redevelopment opportunities.
