A major milestone has been reached today at Houlton, Rugby, with the opening of Houlton School. The school is the first secondary facility to have been delivered by our clients Urban&Civic, and is centrally located at the heart of the Houlton community, forming part of what will be a wider District Centre.
The school buildings comprise of the beautiful conversion of the listed former radio station building, which provide; assembly and dining halls, arts, dance and drama studios with a sixth form unit and three new blocks, set within a wider campus including playgrounds and sports pitches. David Lock Associates are proud to have played a part in the development of Houlton School, having secured the planning and listed building consents for the scheme, as well as the subsequent raft of condition discharges.
