DLA has been delighted to work with Sport England on their Making a Planning Application Guide, which has recently been published. The guide is focused on assisting Sports Clubs in navigating their projects through the planning system, including providing guidance on when planning permission is required and how long the process might take.
This guide supports Sport England’s wider guidance on how the planning system can help to provide opportunities for all to take part in sport and be physically active.
This publication is the latest chapter of our long-standing working relationship with Sport England, stretching back to 2007, with the publication of the first Active Design Guide, which DLA updated again in 2015. DLA also assisted Sport England with the drafting of their Planning for Sport guidance, published in June 2019.
