• Clear vision for a campus style development of high-quality new jobs and homes set in a new and extensive landscape setting supported by the Local Enterprise Partnership and the Local Planning Authority.
  • Helped facilitate a major ‘planning for real’ exercise at the site with stakeholders and local communities.
  • The master plan accommodates some 8,000 jobs and 5,000 houses focused on attracting new investment, jobs and opportunities.
  • Sustainable development is being explored including the provision of a new rail station and renewable energy projects.
  • New employment will focus on Low Carbon, High Tech & Creative Industries, ICT, Research and Development and advanced manufacturing, engineering and processing.
  • Outline planning application for the whole site was submitted in August 2012 and a resolution to grant was received in December 2013.
  • Designated by the government as an Enterprise Zone following close collaboration with the owners of the site, the Local Planning Authority and the Local Enterprise Partnership to develop the successful bid.
  • Coordinated, submitted and had approved detailed planning applications for enabling works in the Enterprise Zone and for the first commercial buildings.
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the Enterprise Zone and the wider development of the site through the planning process.
