We’re pleased to share that the next phase of expansion at the Wellcome Genome Campus has secured Reserved Matters Approval, marking a significant step forward for this world-class science and innovation campus.

The approval, granted by South Cambridgeshire District Council, covers two new laboratory buildings totaling over 20,000 sqm of cutting-edge laboratory space, alongside a café and pub/restaurant. These new additions will help support the Campus’ long-term ambitions for growth and collaboration, and form part of a wider programme of development which includes new homes, a leisure facility, and supporting infrastructure including roads, bridges, heat, power and other utility networks.

We are proud to have supported the Wellcome Genome Campus through this latest planning stage, managing a complex suite of Reserved Matters submissions. Construction will begin this year.

We are proud to have supported the Campus team in reaching this milestone, and to have contributed towards the vision of a growing community of world-leading organisations, businesses and experts in genomics, biodata, health data, and data science.
