Approval Secured for Growing Baldock Strategic Masterplan

We are delighted to share that the Growing Baldock Strategic Masterplan (SMP) has been approved this week by North Herts Council. The SMP, prepared by David Lock Associates on behalf of our clients Urban&Civic, in development partnership with Hertfordshire County Council, articulates a series of layered frameworks and strategic design principles for the growth of Baldock. 

Ten ‘big moves’ are identified to strengthen and connect development to the existing town, achieve net zero ambitions, reinterpret Baldock’s heritage and provide much needed new homes, green spaces and community infrastructure.

The Growing Baldock SMP is the culmination of extensive community and stakeholder engagement and paves the way for the outline planning application due to be submitted to North Herts Council later this year.
