We’re pleased to share that David Lock Associates has signed the Milton Keynes Umbrella Project Neurodiversity Charter, marking a formal commitment to building greater awareness, understanding, and inclusion around neurodiversity, both in our workplace and the wider community.

The Charter, which we signed following our sponsorship of the MK Umbrella Project earlier this year, is part of a city-wide initiative to make Milton Keynes a neuroinclusive place to live and work. It’s built around three core commitments:

  • To Educate – developing knowledge and understanding, being open and curious, and sharing best practice.

  • To Advocate – creating inclusive spaces, welcoming diverse perspectives, and making reasonable adjustments.

  • To Celebrate – positively engaging neurodivergent voices and recognising the value of difference.

By signing the Charter, we join a group of local organisations who are taking practical steps in support of neurodiversity. For us, this is about being a part of a community actively trying to improve practices and learn more about neurodiversity. Our initial focus will be on educating our team more about neurodiversity, understanding the barriers that exist, and the adjustments we can make to create a more inclusive, supportive environment.

We believe that great places are inclusive places, and creating places that integrate everyone starts within our own teams, workplaces, and communities.
