Buzzing Bees at DLA

This is a custom heading element.In June earlier this year, DLA welcomed 20,000 worker bees and a queen to a new beehive in our garden. Beehives in their first year do not normally produce a lot of honey, but with the help of ‘bee experts’ from the MK Christian Foundation Urban Farm (as part of the Urban Beelievers project), we’re delighted to say ours have been sufficiently active to produce 25 small jars of honey. A success story for the support of urban bees – long may they continue to thrive!
