Cambridgeshire County Council Civic Hub approved at Alconbury Weald

This is a custom heading element.David Lock Associates has secured, under delegated powers, full planning permission for Cambridgeshire County Council's new Civic Hub, which is to be built at Alconbury Weald. The two-storey building will provide 350 desks and amenity spaces for staff, together with informal meeting spaces, and a reception area. The building will house a number of essential county-wide support services and will be the home for the Council's democratic functions (though Cambridgeshire County Council will continue to provide frontline services from buildings and spaces around the county). The development, being led by local construction company R G Carter, and designed by architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) and landscape architects Bradley Murphy Design (BMD), will be located in a prominent location within the Alconbury Weald Master Plan, opposite the recently restored Grade II listed Watch Office.  The project team also included Faithful+Gould, MTC Engineering, CGMS, Hoare Lea, MLM and Carter Design.
