David Lock Associates are delighted to have been appointed by Homes England, under the Multi Disciplinary Panel Framework led by Stantec to support the delivery of approximately 250 new homes on the former DVSA site at Cardington, Shortstown in Bedfordshire. The project will involve extensive stakeholder engagement and take the site through design, demolition and eventual delivery of a site ready for market. Working alongside Stantec, Rider Levett Bucknall and Orion Heritage DLA’s commission is to develop a new masterplan supported by a Design & Access Statement and Design Code as well as providing specialist heritage advice as the site sits adjacent to the listed and highly prominent Cardington Hangers.
