This is a custom heading element.Following the grant of outline planning permission in December 2019 for development proposals submitted by DLA, L&Q Estates continue to progress in earnest, their scheme for 1,000 new homes at Wykham Park Farm, including bringing forward the physical and social infrastructure needed to support the wider new community at South West Banbury allocated in the Cherwell Local Plan. DLA, on behalf of L&Q Estates, continues to work closely with Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council to secure approval for pre-commencement works to enable a start on site and to support the continued expedient delivery of this important strategic development. A significant step towards delivery was the submission of the Design Parameters Code in April. The document, prepared by DLA, establishes a long-term vision for the development which in addition to making a substantial contribution to the planned housing growth at Banbury will also deliver a new local centre with commercial and community uses; a community primary school; land for secondary school uses; sports, recreation and play facilities and an extension to the local bridleway network. The Code identifies key masterplanning principles that support good design and timely delivery of strategic infrastructure and provides design guidance to housebuilders to help achieve quality and certainty for reserved matters proposals.
