Design Code for Waterbeach given green light

This is a custom heading element.Today, South Cambridgeshire District Council approved the Design Code for the first phase of development at Waterbeach. DLA is part of the team working to deliver the new community of 6,500 homes just north of Cambridge, for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and Urban&Civic. Approval of the code is an important milestone. A first package of detailed proposals for green, blue and grey infrastructure can now be advanced to allow construction to commence on site in the Autumn, supported by funding from Homes England. The Design Code articulates high aspiration for contemporary, sustainable design in an exceptional landscape setting, including ambitious plans to influence travel patterns and behaviour.
