This is a custom heading element.Cheshire East Council has approved an Outline application DLA submitted on behalf of Bovis Homes for up to 330 homes to the south of Macclesfield. DLA's Parameter Plan for the application provides for nearly 60% of the site as green open space, including its extensive frontage to the Macclesfield Canal and accommodating a children's play area and allotments. New ponds, trees, hedgerows and other wildlife habitats within the site will enable a net biodiversity gain to be achieved, as measured by the Government's approved biodiversity calculator. Land within the site has been identified to enable a new community building to be delivered, which will assist in integrating the new development with the established residential community at Lyme Green, across London Road. DLA secured the site's release from the Green Belt and its allocation for housing in the Council's Local Plan Strategy, which was adopted in July 2017. In preparing the Outline application and pursuing its approval, DLA acted as Bovis' planning and urban design consultants, coordinating the work of a specialist team including Croft Transport Solutions, Mayer Brown, Appletons, Penny Anderson Associates and CgMs. JBP Associates acted as Bovis' communications consultant.
