Endorsement for major employment facility in the Midlands

Rugby Borough Council has resolved to grant planning permission for a 46,000 m² manufacturing facility at Prospero Ansty near Coventry. David Lock Associates submitted the detailed planning application on behalf of Manse Opus (Ansty) LLP & Rolls-Royce Plc, to provide a new UK manufacturing base for International aerospace and defence engineering group Meggitt Plc, in December 2017. Rugby Borough Council’s Planning Committee unanimously resolved to approve the scheme. DLA has acted as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a successful outcome within a tight project timetable. The multi-million-pound project will bring together a number of Meggitt’s existing operations, on the part of the site occupied by Rolls-Royce Plc, to the east of Coventry and the A46. Development is expected to begin shortly, with occupation targeted by the end of 2019.
