This is a custom heading element.DLA has received outline planning permission on behalf of Ipswich Borough Council, for 100,000 sq m of employment and commercial floorspace at Eastern Gateway.
The 130 acre site, a former sugar beet factory, lies at Sproughton, to the north-west of Ipswich town centre and is one of the most strategic employment sites in Suffolk. Immediately adjacent to the A14, providing direct access to Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and the international port of Felixstowe, it also benefits from Enterprise Zone status.
DLA led a multi-disciplinary team in preparing a master plan for the site in 2017. Since then, we have been engaged by the Council securing a separate full planning application for phase 1 infrastructure and helping coordinate a separate planning application for the first plot.
Infrastructure work is already underway under separate enabling works permission.
