Groundbreaking – work starts at Ansty

Development work has begun on a multi-million-pound manufacturing site at Prospero Ansty near Coventry. David Lock Associates submitted a detailed planning application on behalf of Manse Opus (Ansty) LLP & Rolls-Royce Plc, to provide a new UK manufacturing base for International aerospace and defence engineering group Meggitt Plc, in December 2017. Rugby Borough Council resolved to grant planning permission for the 46,000 m² manufacturing facility earlier this year. DLA is part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering the project within a tight timetable. The £130million investment will bring together a number of Meggitt’s existing operations, on the part of the site occupied by Rolls-Royce Plc, to the east of Coventry and the A46 and provide a base for up to 1,000 employees.
