Phase Two plans submitted for the regeneration of Hayle Harbour

This is a custom heading element.Plans for ‘Phase Two’ of the Hayle Harbour regeneration project have been submitted to Cornwall Council by David Lock Associates, on behalf of Sennybridge (Hayle) Ltd. This represents the final set of reserved matters proposals pursuant to the outline application which was granted in 2010, and will facilitate multi-million pound investment to bring new life to the historic harbour. The site, which partly lies within the World Heritage Site of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape, will retain its ongoing fishing and harbour operations. Previously used for the import of coal and export of metal ore during the heyday of Cornish mining and engineering innovation, the detailed scheme, designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios in collaboration with Churchman Thornhill Finch, embraces the distinctive fusion of industrial port heritage and dune landscape to create a series of unique environments for living, working and recreation. The mixed-use scheme comprises 377 new homes, an arts centre, community hall, hotel, sports hub, retail units and creative workspaces. New public spaces and facilities for beach and watersports activities will further reinvigorate the vibrancy of this working harbourside.
