This is a custom heading element.A hat-trick of reserved matters applications for the Glenvale Park Sustainable Urban Extension at Wellingborough were granted approval this week. A virtual Planning Committee at the Borough Council of Wellingborough gave the go-ahead for a new primary school with combined nursery and community centre, a local centre, and 40 homes, by Lagan Homes, to be delivered in Phase 1 of the site. The new two-form entry primary school includes a combined LEAP/NEAP, outdoor space and a landscaped plaza area. The site is located central to Phase 1 and the landmark buildings will create a focal point for Glenvale Park. The local centre comprises a convenience retail unit, a café, a gym, five apartments and four retail units, located at the southern edge of the development close to Niort Way, which will become the gateway to Phase 1. The reserved matters approval follows other approvals for infrastructure and residential development earlier in 2020, as implementation of Glenvale Park gathers pace in delivering the 3,000 homes granted permission in 2016.
