Stonebond Properties to Deliver the First Homes at Waterbeach

David Lock Associates has been engaged in the promotion and delivery of the new town north of Cambridge, at Waterbeach, since 2014.  DLA are supporting Urban&Civic as master developer and delivery partner to the landowner, the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.  Following successful promotion through the South Cambridgeshire Local Plan and outline planning, DLA is now engaged in shaping and bringing forward the first phase of development on the former Barracks and Airfield which will include the first 1,600 homes, a new primary school, community and recreation facilities and infrastructure. DLA is also assisting parcel developers to bring forward the first built development components, including a primary school and new homes. A very significant milestone has now been reached.  Stonebond Properties’ plans for 89 homes have been approved by South Cambridgeshire District Planning Committee.  DLA has led on planning to secure this detailed consent.  The scheme includes apartments and houses and 28 affordable homes, to be managed by housing provider Longhurst Group.
