Launch of Two Mile Ash Bluebell Circuit

Last month the Two Mile Ash Bluebell Circuit was launched, a local recreational route opening up two areas of woodland, connected via a new footbridge to create a 750m circuit for the local community to enjoy. Prior to this project, which has been five years in the making by the Two Mile Ash Environmental Group (TMAEG), informal routes were being used either side of the stream. With this new footbridge and all-weather circuit, wider connections are now opened up providing access to nature throughout the seasons. Views of the local bluebells are celebrated whilst ecological corridors are provided to ensure the natural habitat is protected, with plans underway by TMAEG volunteers to plant further woodland and wildflower areas along the route. David Lock Associates, supported the TMAEG to help secure planning permission, and are delighted to now see the route fully open and being enjoyed by the local community and volunteers who have worked so hard to bring this project forward.
